After last weeks readings I began thinking about the importance of collaboration and the subsequent links with student achievement. I then started wondering how TLs could demonstrate the worth of their services to teachers and principals in their schools.

As a response to these thoughts I found Todd’s article ‘Irefutable Evidence’ to be very worthwhile as it provided me with many practical strategies of documenting and evaluating (and thus being able to market) library services. The article gave many useful hints about evidence-based practice and the gathering of information and data to prove the worth of the TL role. Overall, a valuable article for me that has helped solve my quandry of how to practically evaluate and document student learning and achievement.
